🚙 We shift into first gear and head up

We’ll pick you up at your lodging and head toward Cerro Huyliche.

The 4x4 begins to climb until we reach nearly 1,000 meters above sea level.

As we climb, El Calafate begins to recede further and further below us.

And the view…

becomes more and more incredible.

👀 First stop: the lookout point

We arrive at a natural overlook with one of those views that automatically make you reach for your phone.

From here, you can see:

🌊 Lake Argentino
🏘️ El Calafate
🏔️ the Andes Mountains

And if it’s a clear day, there’s an extra treat:

👀 From certain vantage points, you can even see the majestic Fitz Roy and Cerro Torre, way over in El Chaltén.

🪨 Millions of years beneath your feet

We continue along the mountain roads until we reach one of the most fascinating spots on the tour:

The Stone Labyrinth.

And it’s not just a pretty name.

This geological formation is over 85 million years old.

A long, long time ago, a river flowed through here. Today, the rock formations remain, and if you look closely, you can even find fossils that tell part of Patagonia’s history.

It’s pretty crazy to think you’re walking on something that’s millions of years old, isn’t it?

During the tour, we’ll make several stops to enjoy the scenery and take photos.

Because between the steppe, the mountains, the lake, and the rock formations, you’ll have more than one chance to fill up your camera.
