Day 1 – Arrival in Puerto Natales and Welcome Meeting

Welcome to Patagonia. Upon arrival, our driver will pick you up at the airport or bus terminal and take you to the hotel.

You’ll have time to rest or enjoy some free time to explore Puerto Natales.

In the afternoon or evening, a member of our team will check your gear and provide you with the necessary instructions in preparation for the next day’s trek.

Day 2 – Puerto Natales, Base of the Torres, and Torres Sector

Hike duration: 8 to 10 hours
Distance: 21 km / 13 miles
Elevation gain: 1,174 m / 3,851 feet

After an early breakfast, we’ll begin a scenic drive of approximately two hours to Torres del Paine National Park, where we’ll start our trek from the Las Torres sector.

The trail gradually ascends through the Ascencio Valley, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and rivers. After a few hours of hiking, we’ll reach the Refugio Chileno, an ideal spot for a brief rest before continuing our hike.

From there, the trail continues through a beautiful lenga forest, which will provide some shade before we begin the final and most challenging stretch of the hike: a steep ascent over rocky terrain and glacial moraines.

Our efforts will be rewarded upon reaching the stunning Base de las Torres viewpoint, where the three iconic granite towers rise spectacularly above a turquoise glacial lake.

We’ll have time to enjoy the incredible views and have lunch before heading back along the same trail.

Upon returning to the Torres Sector, we’ll be able to rest and recharge after an incredible day of trekking.

Day 3 – Las Torres Sector to Paine Grande

Hike duration: 7 to 8 hours
Distance: 18 km / 11 miles
Elevation gain: approximately 450 m

From the Las Torres Sector visitor center, we’ll take a private transfer of about 45 minutes with our guide to the Pudeto pier.

From there, we’ll take a 30-minute boat ride to the Paine Grande Refuge area.

Upon arrival, we’ll leave some of our gear at Paine Grande and begin our hike to Camping Italiano, where the French Valley begins.

Once we arrive at the campsite, we’ll leave our backpacks at the park rangers’ house and begin the ascent to the French Valley viewpoint.

We’ll enjoy the incredible views as we gaze at the hanging glaciers, and with a little luck, we’ll be able to see avalanches descending from the majestic Andes mountains when we reach the French viewpoint.

Optional hike: British Viewpoint (+2 hours of hiking).

After lunch, we’ll begin the descent from the viewpoint and continue our hike until we reach the Paine Grande area again, where we’ll spend the night.

Day 4 – Paine Grande to Grey

Hike duration: 4 hours
Distance: 11 km / 7 miles
Elevation gain: approximately 400 m

After breakfast, we’ll begin our trek to the Grey Refuge, from where you can often watch large blocks of ice break off the glacier and fall into the lake. It’s also common to see icebergs floating in its waters.

After lunch, we’ll have free time to explore the area and enjoy the surroundings.

In the afternoon, we’ll have the option to take an ice walk on the Grey Glacier, at an additional cost of USD 365 per person, or go on a kayaking tour, at a cost of USD 289 per person.

Day 5 – Grey Sector to Puerto Natales or optional glacier cruise

Hike duration: 4 hours
Distance: 11 km / 7 miles
Elevation gain: approximately 400 m

In the morning, you can enjoy one last optional activity before beginning the return trip: a hike on the Grey Glacier for USD 365 or a kayaking tour for USD 289, both prices per person.

Then we’ll begin our return journey. The trail will take us back to the Paine Grande Refuge, where we’ll board the 6:30 p.m. catamaran to cross Lake Pehoé.

Alternatively, you may choose to stay in the Grey area and take a boat tour around the glacier for an additional USD 175 per person.

The day will end with our arrival in Puerto Natales in the evening, where we’ll spend our last night.
